The Lloyd Ray Smith Memorial Golf Tournament

Special Olympics Tennessee Southeast Region (Area 4) is proud to announce that the Lloyd Ray Smith Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Montlake Golf & Country Club in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.

This is a 4 Person Select Shot tournament with prizes for top 3 teams in each flight.

Other details:

  • Tee Off Time: 9:00 AM
  • Fee: $60/person or $240/team
  • Limited to the first 18 teams
  • Mulligans are $5/each – limit 2/person
  • Prizes will be given out for longest drive and closet to hole (men & ladies)

2014 USA National Games

Mercer County, New Jersey

Every four years, Special Olympics conducts a USA Summer Games in the United States that includes athletes from all 52 US Programs. New Jersey is proud to have been selected as host of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, the Games of Welcome and Acceptance.

The 2014 Special Olympics USA Games will showcase athletes competing in 14 official and 3 demonstration sports. Competitions will be offered in both traditional and Unified play, bringing together the community to support and play side-by-side with our athletes, in what expects to be the most inclusive Games in Special Olympics History.

2014 Scenic City Half Marathon, 5K & Charity Challenge

Believe it or not, 2014 is only 4 months away and it will be here before we know it. After the hustle of Christmas and New Years comes another great tradition in the Tennessee Valley, the Scenic City Half Marathon, 5K and Charity Challenge.

2013 Spring Games

Special OlympicsThe 2013 Area 4 Spring Games were a huge success and we want to thank everyone who had a part in making it one of the best! Thank you to McCallie School for letting us use their facilities for our Spring games.

What is the Polar Plunge? The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping or running into the icy waters of Tennessee. Our Polar Plunges are huge events full of music, crazy costumes and loads of laughter.

Chatt 1 copyComing in a few months will be the Scenic City Half Marathon & 5K and once again, Special Olympics TN Area 4 needs your help! Last year we were award the prize of “Top Fund Raising Charity” and we know that you will come through for us again this year!

The race is schedule for Saturday, February 23, 2013, but you can already begin raising money for the race. To make your donations to Special Olympics TN Area 4, click on the link below and follow the instructions.

You do not have to be a runner in the race to make a donation. Any and all amounts are welcomed!

Here is your chance to really make your voice be heard! Special Olympics needs your vote in the “Subaru SHARE THE LOVE Event”

The Subaru “Share The Love” event supports causes that our fans are passionate about. Please vote for Special Olympics as your favorite charity to be part of the Subaru “Share the Love” event. The top two charities will join ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish® and Meals On Wheels Association of America® as participants in this year’s event. Starting November 21, up to $5 million will be donated to five charities. Yours could be one of them. Vote daily. Now through August 26.
